Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA)
Welcome to SOPA!
Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) is a non-profit corporation made up of families and supporters of Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter and is governed by an elected Board of Directors.
It is SOPA’s mission to enhance and support SOEC’s in-school enrichment that takes place during the day and provides expert instructors that work side by side with our teachers. SOPA supports SOEC’s vision that all students reach their maximum potential through academics, social emotional development and diverse enrichment programs.
SOPA benefits ALL STUDENTS with their fundraising initiatives, specifically, the Tiger Fund. It takes the contributions and participation of ALL PARENTS to sustain these innovative programs.

SOPA KIDS CENTER
The SOPA Kids Center provides on-site childcare for students of Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter. In addition to operating an after school program (September-June), we operate a full day camp schedule for winter, spring, and summer breaks. Our licensed daycare program is owned by the Sherman Oaks Parents Association.

GET INVOLVED!
SOPA encourages you to become actively involved by staying informed, volunteering, participating, and donating.
Volunteer
There are so many opportunities to assist SOPA. Whether you help out with Paws and Go, become a room parent, chair a program, attend a beautification day, or volunteer at an event, there is something for everyone no matter the restrictions on your time. Participate
Throughout the year SOPA sponsors many events including the Ice Cream Social, the Halloween Event, the Spring Gala (adults only), the Spring Dance, Movie Night and more. These events are not only fundraisers that financially support the programs that enrich our school but also bring us together as a community. When a SOPA event comes around, please participate and encourage friends and family to come too. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we all come together.
