good morning Tigers this is principal Miller and today is Wednesday April 29th morning tigers please join us for the flag salute to display stand but your right hand over your heart ready begin I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God visible with liberty and justice for all and you may be seated it's going to be slightly cooler today here in Sherman Oaks California with a high of only 87° still slightly warm be sure to drink plenty of water also boys and girls a reminder that this evening at 6 Miss Ackman will be doing our read aloud the book is my lucky day and now boys and girls I'm going to turn it over to Miss Matthews who's going to give us the jokes of the day Miss Matthews super excited I got a lot of submission of your jokes are hilarious I can't the mall right now but if you don't hear your name today or your joke today maybe you'll hear it tomorrow alright are we ready mrs. Miller and kids these are going to be good just to go to Evelyn and Miss Mitchell's class did you hear the one about the butter know what about the butter Miss Matthews nevermind I don't want to spread it all right next joke comes to us from Jackson and Miss Stouffer's class this is a great joke one of my favorites all right Jackson thank you so much what do you call cheese that's not yours what do you call that cheese nacho cheese that's a good one all right all right next to comes to us from Madeline and miss our callings class why did the teacher wear sunglasses sure why because her students were so bright that's a good one and it gave me a reason to wear my Elton John glasses our last joke comes to us from Vivie and Miss Cochran's class why didn't the skeleton cross the road why wouldn't the skeleton cross the road because he didn't have the guts are a kid thank you so much for your jokes you can keep sending them in there really fun to read and I will pick some more for tomorrow all right and we are really enjoying getting submissions from you guys so we were thinking next week is Teacher Appreciation Week which is one of the best times of the year we can let our teachers now how much we appreciate them and and show them how much you care about them so what we're going to ask is for you to submit a video of very short video clip 10 seconds or less in which you describe what you most appreciate about your teacher and you're going to send it into me same way as you sending the jokes on parents Square to mrs. Matthews and I can remember it's going to be 10 seconds or less and you can do whatever want to do be created by point of the video is for you to tell us what it is that you most appreciate about your teacher and the video clips are going to be due to us by Sunday May 3rd we have a little bit of time thank you in advance I'm sure these videos are going to be as awesome as your jokes like hardly wait you know we have some very creative students so it's going to be a big surprise. see those videos for boys and girls remember San Jacinto short video clip by Sunday May 3rd what do you appreciate most about your teacher Cowboys and girls or are words of listen to these words from a young girl named Anne Frank how wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world in other words we can start today the world a better place right now by simply giving others a little love and sharing don't waste any time today make the world a better place be the best you can be yourself and to others remember girls moment-by-moment person-by-person we can all improve the world with something to think about this is principal Miller and this is Matthew's make it a great day or not the choice is yours is yours
