Welcome to Room 20- 3rd grade!
Welcome to an amazing 5th grade year. Students will be challenged with a rigorous curriculum that includes the Eureka Math and Benchmark Advanced for Language Arts. Our Write From the Beginning program will include narrative writing, informative writing and persuasive compositions to round out the year. Our Benchmark Langauage Arts program includes close reading to increase student’s inferential understanding. The Eureka math program pushes students to go beyond memorization and to gain true conceptual understanding.
In science lab students will be exploring the new NGSS program. In addition, we will be exploring U.S. History through Westward Expansion. Through project based learning our students will be thoroughly engaged in every aspect of our curriculum.
