WHAT IS THE TIGER FUND?
The Tiger Fund is Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter’s “direct ask” fundraiser in which 100% of Tiger Fund donations are used at Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter.
This year, we ask that each family contributes $750 per child.
Your tax deductible donation to the Tiger Fund helps to fully fund the following Enrichment Programs at SOEC:
COMPUTERWISEKIDS PROGRAM AND INSTRUCTOR
SCIENCE PROGRAM AND INSTRUCTOR
GARDEN RANGER PROGRAM AND INSTRUCTOR
TOTAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM EXPENSES PER YEAR: $230,125.00
This year, for SOEC's 100th year, we hope to achieve 100% participation from all SOEC families.
Since we are an Affiliated Charter, don’t we have plenty of funding?
Unfortunately, no. Without your financial assistance, these programs will be lost. The TIGER FUND raises the necessary funds to support these programs and services and make a difference for each and every student.
WHERE ELSE DO YOUR DOLLARS GO?
SOPA offers a teacher stipend for supplies, maintains a bookkeeper, insurance and other misc supplies and fees.

Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) appreciates your donation and your support of our mission to give all of the students of Shermans Oaks Elementary Charter in school during the day enrichment classes. Our budget and ongoing financial health rely on accounting for and accepting irrevocable, non-refundable donations from the public. Therefore, Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) considers all donations to be nonrefundable. Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) may consider returning donations to the donor, but only in limited circumstances according to state and federal laws. Depending on the circumstances, Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) will consider your request if it is made within five (5) days of the original donation. Sherman Oaks Parents Association (SOPA) may ask for proof of identity before issuing a refund, and all refunds are returned using the original method of payment. For example, if your donation was made by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same account. You are responsible for all tax considerations that may arise if your donation is refunded.
