ENTERTAINMENT WORK POLICY

Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter

Entertainment Work Permit Policy
(Approved by the Governance Council on August 29, 2019)

The principal of Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter shall not approve Entertainment Work Permits to any student who does not meet the following requirements:

1. An overall score of “3” or above in English Language Arts & Mathematics Content

2. A score of “3” or above in all sub categories in the following subjects:
a. Science
b. History/Social Science
c. Visual & Performing Arts
d. Physical Education
e. Health Education

3. A score of “C” or “S” in all sub categories of Characteristics and Behaviors of a College Prepared and College-Ready Learner

4. Students who have more than 7 absences in the prior school year, or on track to miss more than 7 days in the current school year will not be granted an Entertainment work permit.
