hi my name is Leah the children call me Ranger Leah I work with a nonprofit called enriched l.a. that puts organic Gardens in schools all throughout the Los Angeles area and you have a beautiful garden here at Sherman Oaks Elementary Charter and part of what I do is I maintain that garden and take care of it but I also provide a garden curriculum for the children so we learn about everything from soil soil Health parts of a plant you know really looking at acting seeds in a tomato flower as well as whenever we can we also have salads and try things from the garden as well I love about teaching children in contacts of gardening is is making it accessible you know gardening is mostly about putting your attention on something and you really don't have to be an expert in a lot of ways gardening is carob by giving our gardener attention and by learning to listen we can figure out what our garden needs I really love giving kids an example like a opportunity to get their hands dirty when so often let me know may just not be the case that that can happen and the gardening is a great way for kids to dance to 2 and then also because of the time. We live in most children already have a sense and end already have heard messaging around the harm that you must have cost for a planet and gardening is just such a wonderful day call reminder of how we can also be a part of making things Thrive by giving it our attention by watering by pruning all these caretaking activities we can he thinks flourish as well so it's a little about what I do with my kind of watch the years and then I'm close to her make it out your classroom gray water sink and then we were stranded with our equipment and supplies and we have our compost over there as well
